including (but not limited) to:
  • grouped with similar experts - new grouping each period
  • topic/question team answered

  • explanation of physical display selected


  • interactive (and entertaining) quiz

    • 2-3 minute explanation of your research question
  • related pictures, images, etc, to draw people’s attention to your station (Day’s class will help with these too)


  • how-to video

    • Commoncraft video
    • 2 discussion topic suggestions, given to moderator in advance
    • a physical display of some kind:
      • 3-D model (clay, legos, food, etc.)
      • experiment
      • demonstration
      • live skit



  • music video with original lyrics

  • I Want a Clone
    • discussion questions will be distributed in advance, experts will prepare with note cards


  • dress in a costume that connects to the genres science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, fringe science (extra credit)

    I used a website called TubeChop that allows you to chop the front and back end of a YouTube clip so that you show only the part that you want.  One problem, like YouTube, it's blocked on campus, so you would have to do it at home and have one of your teachers; Sutherland, Quevedo, or Miller unblock it for you to present.  I used the very beginning of a documentary on the National Geographic Channel.
